Thanks to modern technology, it is possible for almost 
anyone to take a perfect exposure under limitless lighting 
conditions.  However, it takes an exceptional photographer 
to truely capture the essence of a person in a flattering 
pose, and express it in a way that is compositionally 
excellent. 
  To find such photographers, look for the phrase, "PPA 
Ceritfied", or "CPP" (Certified Professional Photographer), 
these photographers have been certified by the Professional 
Photographers of America (PPA). 
  PPA only gives a photographer the "PPA Certified" 
designation only after passing a series of rigorous tests 
that measure technical expertise, artistic ability and 
business skills. There are less than 1,800 PPA Certified 
photographers WORLDWIDE.
  All PPA Certified photographers must: 
        *pass a comprehensive written examination measuring
          their technical expertise. 
        *submit images for critical review. 
        *submit to a reference and credit check. 
 
  When you are looking for a photographer, look for one 
that is "PPA Certified."
